Recent Sheraton Creek Towers Review: "We stayed 4 nights at this hotel. We had booked a tower room with creek view, for the price, we loved it. Definately go for the creek view, it is well worth the extra money. When we got back to the room each night, my wife would sit by the window and admire the view of the creek and all the Dhow dinner cruice ships sailing on the water. The hotel  is old by Dubai standards, but it is not old by other worlds standards. The room was fine and spacious, and the restaurants on the hotel were great. We had breakfeast each morning at the Vivaldi restaurant and we tried the Japanees Creekside restaurant once. Great buffets both places, especially dinner at the Creekside restaurant. All in all the hotel was a great base for our visits to the old part of town and for trips to other parts of Dubai. However if you want to experience the beach, choose another hotel, at least for part of your holiday in Dubai."

On the north side of Dubai Creek, Deira is an interface between the high-rise business city and the traditional Arab trading port.
